Biography:
Ben Morse plays rock and roll music. His current and future band is B for Brontosaurus, a 3-piece rock and pop outfit that has operated out of Somerville since their first show in March of 2005. Their debut album, "A Thousand Times Yes," will be made available on June 15 at a cd release show at TT the Bear's. It will also be available via their website.

Ben has lived in Somerville for just under two years: a mere fledgling. In that time, he has been booking shows, including benefits for Inman Square's now-defunct Radio Pandemonium, for which he was a DJ, and for the Somerville Arts Council. For the latter he and Lou Bunk (of the SAC, and rock group Shana's Mango) organized a Jonathan Richman tribute at PA's Lounge. The very successful night included many local acts, and raised a good chunk of change for the SAC. Ben has organized a few other shows, but has not yet given himself a clever name under which to do it (but if he did, it would probably be Precious Moments. Is that too much?)

B4B recorded two film soundtrack songs this spring. One was for the 48-Hour Film Project entry "Eat to Defeat," which can be viewed on the Best of Boston DVD. The other was for the "Snakes on a Plane" theme song contest (which they won in spirit, if not actually).

Ben also plays a more traditional, cover-heavy set with his side group Power Ben and the American Standards. Look for their fully-orchestrated return in August.

"Secret Courage:
The Walter Suskind Story"

Outside of the musical world, Ben has been working with autistic toddlers for two years, and this summer will work at a camp for teenagers with Asperger's Syndrome. He and bandmate+girlfriend Joanna Solins helped edit his parents' holocaust documentary "Secret Courage: The Walter Suskind Story," which is screening periodically, and being distributed to educational institutions. Ben and Joanna will leave Somerville this fall for an extended period
of travel, but they'll be back before you know it!
